The 45th Cobh International Deep Sea Angling Festival and the Martin O' Brien Small Boat Festival are both taking place in Cobh this summer.
Entries are now being taken for this year’s International Deep Sea Angling Festival. It is taking place this year from Monday 5th September through to Friday 9th September 2011. The cost of entry has been kept the same as for 2010 and at €325 for seniors, is great value. The range of prizes is superb with the prize fund valued at €7,500 of which €2,000 is in cash. First prize includes €1,000 in cash.
There will be events held in various pubs and restaurants on a nightly basis, including bands, music, and traditional nights that keep all anglers well entertained.
The Martin O' Brien Small Boat Festival is a two day small boat festival that will be fished over the last weekend in July (Sat 30th July & Sun 31st July). Fishing will be from 9:30am to 5:30pm each day and is organised by Rosie’s Sea Angling Club of Lower Aghada, Midleton, Cork.
