The Port of Cork photograph exhibition entitled ‘The Port in Pictures’ is on display in Cobh Heritage Centre until Thursday 25th August 2011, and moves to the Custom House, Cork City on Friday 26th August. The display will remain there until Wednesday 7th September before moving across the harbour to Fort Camden, Crosshaven where the exhibition will display between 10th and 25th September.
The exhibition which comprises of black and white photographs from the 1930’s to modern day, gives people the chance to see the Cork Harbour Commissioners and now the Port of Cork Company over the years and the many different trades and vessels coming in and out of Cork harbour.
For anyone with a link to the Port of Cork or even the Cork Harbour Commissioners’, this exhibition will be a trip down memory lane and may even remind you of a tale or two!

Fort Camden Art exhibition
Five artists are preparing to unveil a series of intriguing new artworks which have been specially commissioned by Cork County Council as part of the redevelopment program of the Fort Camden military installation overlooking the entrance to Cork Harbour.
