Trail Development Guide and Seminar

The National Trails Office / Irish Sports Council invite people to the launch of Trail Development Guide and Seminar. 

The document, A Guide to Planning & Developing Recreational Trails in Ireland will be launched on 28th February 2012 in the Hilton Hotel, Inchicore Road, Kilmainham, Dublin 8. 

The guide will be launched by Minister Michael Ring TD, Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport and John Treacy, CEO - Irish Sports Council. 

‘The Guide to Planning & Developing Recreational Trails in Ireland’ is a comprehensive new publication from the National Trails Office which provides guidance and advice to any individual, group or organisation interested in or involved in planning a recreational trail in Ireland. It sets out the key points all developers need to be aware of and consider before, during and after trail development. It also provides a development pathway for developers to follow on a project. The publication has been endorsed by all the key stakeholders involved and impacted by the development of trails in Ireland. 

The event will also incorporate an information update from the National Trails Office and a seminar with guest speakers from Ireland and the UK on the topic Trail Management Best Practice Proceedings will commence at 10.30 and conclude at 16.00 approx.
